Over one year after the Healthy Schools Act went into effect, Learning Curve reports on pesticide use and compliance with the Act in California’s 15 largest school districts. The report highlights inconsistent compliance with the Act across the districts but notes that some districts have made great improvements in their pest management practices. The report includes scorecards for each school district surveyed and recommendations on how school officials, parents and teachers, and state policy-makers should make schools safe from pesticides.
